Each of our therapists holds a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. In addition to a Masters Degree, each therapist at The Voice Box is a certified member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologists du Québec (OOAQ).

Nechama received her Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Linguistics from Concordia University. She then earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from McGill University. Nechama is recognized for her dedication, her genuine care for her clients and her broad range of expertise in the field. Nechama, a Hanen-trained clinician, has practiced in a wide range of environments. She has experience working as an aphasia conversation group leader for adults, as well as 14 years of experience working with children of all ages. Nechama is specialized in working with preschool age children with autism and speech/language delays and school age children with learning disabilities. She particularly enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Nechama skillfully assesses and treats voice, fluency, articulation, language, and acquired communication disorders. Nechama has also shared her knowledge of the field by acting as a McGill clinical educator (i.e. graduate student supervisor) and a CEGEP instructor. As a caring therapist, intent on furthering education with respect to language disorders, Nechama provides continuing education workshops to educators, parents and physicians. In 2008, Nechama founded The Voice Box, and since then has enjoyed managing the clinic and being able to help many more clients. Nechama works with clients from various backgrounds in English, Yiddish, Hebrew and French. In addition to working as a speech and language therapist, Nechama enjoys camping, biking, and spending time with her family

Natalie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from McGill University. She went on to graduate from the University of Montreal with a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Natalie is known for her passionate commitment to her clients and their families, as well as for her sensitivity and creativity. Natalie assesses and treats preschoolers and school age children with a wide variety of speech and language delays and disorders. Her practice specializes in early speech and language intervention for 0-5 year olds with communication delays. Natalie has extensive experience working with non-verbal and minimally verbal children who present with challenging behaviors. She is an expert diagnostician and has developed expertise in working in the areas of Pervasive Developmental Disorder (autism), Down Syndrome, and Global Developmental Delay. Natalie also enjoys her work in a school setting, providing services to children ranging from preschool to upper elementary. In addition to working directly with students, Natalie works closely with her clients' parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure that therapy goals are integrated into the child's daily life. Natalie is sensitive to her clients' cultural differences, and is fluent in French, English, and Hebrew. When she is not working, Natalie enjoys painting, travelling and spending time with her family.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Specialization in Communication Studies from Concordia University as well as an Applied Masters of Science Degree in Speech-language Pathology from McGill University. Stephanie is an energetic, creative, and supportive clinician who relates well with people of all ages and backgrounds. As a Hanen-certified clinician, Stephanie has extensive experience providing child-centered therapy and parent coaching. Stephanie assesses and treats preschool and school age children with a variety of communication delays and disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Social-Pragmatic difficulties, Developmental Apraxia of Speech, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, as well as voice and fluency disorders. She has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including private practice, daycares, schools, and language camps. Stephanie consults with educators and families on children's individualized education plans (IEPs), and presents in-services to educators on such topics as Voice Care in the Classroom, When to Refer a Student, and The Role of the Speech-Language Therapist. Stephanie specializes in the evaluation and treatment of voice disorders, and works with professional voice users such as teachers, clergy, and professional singers. Stephanie is fluent in English and Yiddish. In her free time Stephanie enjoys acting, spending time with friends and curling up with a good book.
